Plants are thoughtfully incorporated throughout, adding accents and texture to each room. The bold yet balanced palette complements the greenery, with warm, hearty colors offsetting neutral wall tones to create an inviting ambiance. Collaborating closely with our client, we selected premium materials to create a harmonious and balanced palette that exudes timeless elegance. The blue velvet upholstery, paired with refined brass accents, creates a striking yet graceful contrast, adding depth and luxury to the space. Charming Salento Project in Puglia, Italy

Nestled in a picturesque village in sunny Salento, Puglia, this project is a true hidden gem that blends the beauty of Italian heritage with contemporary design. For this unique property, CASA MIA DESIGN STUDIO preserved the building’s original features, including the historic ‘cementine’ tiles—handcrafted tiles made with colorful cement paste poured into molds to create vibrant, porcelain-like stoneware. These tiles bring an energetic touch of color, geometry, and character, adding an authentic Italian charm to the interior.

To respect the genius loci of the property, we designed an interior that combines modern furniture and sleek contemporary lighting with the rustic architectural elements of the space. The floor-to-ceiling glazed wall adds a touch of modernity, allowing natural light to flood the apartment while maintaining privacy, creating a harmonious blend of historic and modern design.

Guided by the client’s vision, our London-based interior design team developed a scheme that draws inspiration from the colors and textures of the surrounding seaside landscape. The soft color palette, organic materials, and earthy tones—such as rich burgundy and warm ochre—are carefully selected to complement the original cementine tiles and reflect the natural beauty of Salento’s coastal region.

Despite managing the concept development remotely from London, our team traveled to Salento for key site visits, overseeing the installation process to ensure every detail was executed to perfection. This Italian project in Puglia showcases CASA MIA’s commitment to creating timeless, elegant interiors that honor the spirit of the place, resulting in a beautiful, cohesive space that merges history with refined Italian design.

This Elgine Avenue project is a hidden gem, thoughtfully designed for a developer with a keen eye for quality and a tight budget. Despite the financial constraints, CASA MIA DESIGN STUDIO successfully maximized the available space and used only the finest materials, resulting in a complete transformation of a two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment into a stylish and functional home.

Our design approach focused on making the most of the existing layout, particularly the narrow corridor, to create two bedrooms with ensuites. The renovation also included an elegant open-plan living space that effortlessly flows into a bespoke kitchen, featuring a stunning stainless steel island that serves as the centerpiece of the room.

By prioritizing both design excellence and budget efficiency, we were able to deliver an interior that not only maximized the apartment’s potential but also added significant value. Thanks to our careful attention to detail and materials, our client achieved an outstanding ROI from this property.
